“Please note that final update about the subject, Sulaibiya (Land Customs) start releasing the manifests to brokers to prepare the bayan for customs clearance but Airport and Port customs still clearing only the perishables and food stuff, they are expecting to go back to normal by today. Shall keep you updated.”

Lars Ulrich of Metallica in Hemingway & Gellhorn

Lars from Metallica is appearing in the movie Hemingway & Gellhorn. The last time we saw Lars acting was in “Get Him to the Greek” along Russell Brand. In this Ulrich plays the Dutch documentarian Joris Ivens, (don’t bother his annoying accent; he is playing an actual Dutch guy)
“Hemingway & Gellhorn” is a drama centered on the romance between Ernest Hemingway (Clive Owen) and WWII correspondent Martha Gellhorn(Nicole Kidman), Hemingway’s inspiration for “For Whom the Bell Tolls” and the only woman who ever asked for a divorce from the writer.
“Hemingway & Gellhorn” is scheduled to premiere on May 28 at 9:00 p.m.

It seems Kuwait Airways also joined the strike. Below is the update we got.
” Kuwaiti employees of Kuwait Airways Corp, the Kuwaiti National Carrier went on strike today to demand higher Salary and other employment benefits. The demands include bonuses, allowances, increments and job titles for all employees without exception which the Union had submitted to Government . . About 2,000 staff from Kuwait Airways halted work at 8 am local time. All KU scheduled flights to DXB , FRA , JED , RUH , DMM ,
CAI , BEY were cancelled today and the strike is expected to continue tomorrow”
I guess all the travelers who had booked their fight via Kuwait Airways are screwed…

Metallica Issues Two Unreleased Song From ‘Death Magnetic’

Metallica has issued two unreleased songs from their 2008 album Death Magnetic. Both songs were played on The Fillmore shows celebrating the bands 30 years anniversary. Songs were released for fan club members.
Song 1 – Hate Train
Song 2- Just A Bullet Away
Both songs are available for download.
