Dont worry, im not going to write about the monkey equiped with a solar panel. I am reviewing a product which i purchased a wile back. This is a portable device which come very handy in times. It’s basically a solar panel with a rechargeable battery. Its built with Ipod/i phone in mind, but you can use it to charge a lot of electronic devices like mobile phones, ipod, camera ….you name it. It is a very useful gadget to have while travelling. I keep one in my bag always.
You can buy it from office depot, alghanim. Cost’s around 6-8 KD
They have a lot of different products (all got weird names), check out the links.

The best i can do about explaining this pedal is by saying “IT IS A BLOODY NUKE”. Seriously, this is the best thing i ever did for achieving my guitar tone that i always wanted (you know, the one you have in your mind, but cant get it through the amp).
So how good it is?
You can drop it from 10th floor of your building, pick it up and go straight for a gig without even thinking whether it will work. This thing is built like a tank.
I use an VOX VT50, which will always give you a muddy low-end unless it’s cranked up. So about a year ago i stumbled upon this little MXR which one of my friend was using. I started by using it on a clean channel, after a long hour of fiddling with the 10 EQ levels, i finally got the tone that i wanted. Clean,Twangy, Strong with a tight low-end. Then i ran it through my ML2(metal zone) setting. I got the best heavy metal distortion tone that i ever had.
You can create pretty much get any tone with this little monster. It’s got 10 levels for EQ adjustments, one each for gain and volume. It takes 18v DC compared to the standard 9V, which gives more room for the boost.
I don’t know if there is a MXR dealer in Kuwait, but you can order it online for less than 140 bucks for the 10 band and $70 for 6 band EQ. They also have a KFK edition with dual outputs.
I believe you can use it on other instruments also.
